A wonderful boutique jewellery shop that is affordable. My friend told me about this wonderful boutique jewellery shop which is just around the corner from our flat so I had to go and I fell in love immediately! It is located in Snowsfields (near London Bridge) on the end of a small row of shops inside a gorgeous building. You have to ring the doorbell to get in which made me a bit apprehensive but there was no need to be.Once inside they staff were very welcoming and I felt like I had discovered Aladdin's cave. The selection of jewellery ranges from bumble bee pendants to bunny rings. I love the whole range because it is quirky and very well made. The staff were extremely friendly and explained that the workshop is right upstairs and everything is designed and made by Alex in the workshop.I highly recommend this shop for boyfriends that looking to buy a present for the girlfriend! She will love it.read more

I would give no stars if I could. Please don’t waste your money. My boyfriend bought me a 1ct equivalent weight marquise cut stone ring for my birthday last year. After buying it the assistant gave me a list of things I shouldn’t do whilst wearing it, like showering and sleeping, which I thought odd but followed anyway. I now know why, their jewellery is very pretty, but incredibly expensive, costume jewellery intended for occasional wear but marketed as if fine and suitable for daily wear. After 5 weeks of wear one claw lifted and the other snapped clean off. We returned it, it was sent away for repair, apparently a gesture of goodwill as it was “wear and tear” that had damaged it, and I waited and waited for it to come back. 7 weeks later, after 2 calls to say it was delayed or needed further work, we requested a refund. A £319 piece of jewellery should not only last 5 weeks. I have an office job, I don’t do anything that puts rings under strain and have worn jewellery before that hasn’t shown any sign of wear and tear after 5 years let alone weeks. Carat stones feel like plastic when you tap them. The metal is soft like silver and is plated to make it shine like it does. The company has no Facebook presence, limited twitter presence and their customer service is shocking. I’ve sent emails I’ve never received a response to. Just look at their reductions in the sale and ask yourself how something that’s has an RRP of £159 can be reduced to £49. It’s just like cubic zirconia but dressed up to look better.read more

This place is excellent and I thoroughly recommend it but when I came here I found that the vegetables are very crunchy I asked if I could have a pound of carrots and they said that a pound of Carrots will cost you about a million pounds and I said a million pounds that's quite a lot of money for Carol only wanted to have some soup and they said oh so special so I decided not to buy my carrots from here and that I would go to the greengrocer because the greengrocer will sell me a pack of carrots for about 50pread more

Disappointing and a tad dullI purchased a diamond (simulant) ring from Carat London last year for a special occasion. After months of tireless planning, the special occasion went very well. The only hiccup was that the ring’s diamond was seen to be less than brilliant and somewhat dull. I also finally noticed that the ring’s prongs were hooked in too deep, possibly blocking light through to the diamond. I only realized this problem with its brilliance when it was pointed out to me and when I compared it to other diamond (simulant) rings on the market side by side. Unfortunately, I was unable to do an exchange as it was too late, after having learnt about this issue with its brilliance many months after my purchase. Carat London’s customer service also did not seek to investigate the problem with the brilliance I raised, as possibly my request for an exchange was many months out of time. If only I realised this issue with the diamond’s brilliance from the outset, I would have immediately asked for a refund. I am left being truly disappointed with the quality of my purchase from Carat London.read more

A special thank you to Stephanie Cheung, the sales assistant, who warmly welcomed and patiently looked after my fiancé and I when we went to look at wedding bands. Her professional advice and expertise in diamonds and their settings were extremely helpful. She was far from pushy and instead gave us the top tips on buying the perfect bands. She even did a complimentary cleaning of my engagement ring so I can best see the effect of the wedding band! Highly recommend shopping here. Thank you again, Stephanie! read more

De Beers has created a historic name in the world of fine jewellery. The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. At no point will you feel rushed or pressured into making a decision that is not right for you, or the lucky person receiving a gift. They have a great selection of items across a broad price range (although tilted well to the upper end). When you receive service like theirs you feel that the De Beers name has done itself justice.read more

De Beers has beautiful diamond jewellery including both classic designs and more contemporary lines. Although as you would expect, they have some extraordinary and large stones, I would say they steer clear of the chunky, more flamboyant style of jewellery typical of houses like Bulgari, it's more Upper East Side than Vegas. The store has an impressive presence on the corner of Picadilly and Bond Street and has the dark glass, remotely operated sliding doors, and expensively suited doormen that can be a bit intimidating for those of us who didn't cut our teeth on an Asprey and Garrard silver teethers, but said doormen are polite and helpful and the service here is helpful, really helpful, and charming. It can't be denied that buyers pay a premium for purchasing from here, but the quality of the settings I have seen is outstanding and the after-sales service is second to none. They will provide annual prong checks (a requirement on some insurance policies) polishing and valuations without charge. When I drop in I always walk around the displays and while I love to gawp at the 4 carat honkers and dazzling necklaces, the very smallest solitaires have tremendous sparkle and elegance. De Beers after all are the diamond people, and their diamonds are incredibly beautiful, to help you understand why, they employ their own "Iris" technology, which magnifies your diamond and passes a light(?) across it so that every facet is illuminated and displayed on screen so you can appreciate the cut and symmetry. The table facet of each diamond is also engraved with a unique identity number that can only be read at 200 x magnification.De Beers was in the vanguard to developing and implementing the Kimberly Process to try to eliminate blood diamonds entering the supply chain and is now active in trying to ensure that the countries and communities where they mine, benefit from the wealth and training and employment opportunities they create; their decision to move the centre of their vast diamond sorting operation from London to Botswana in 2012 being one example. Buying a De Beers diamond you can be as confident as is possible to be about the chain of custody back to legitimate, ethical production. If you are considering buying a special piece of diamond jewellery, I'd really recommend taking a look at De Beers. I think their pricing is slightly more competitive than Tiffany & Co, and certainly better than Graff or Cartier looking at diamonds with like-for-like specs.read more

Laura and her girls are so brilliantly fantastic! I can not recommend them enough - anyone who says differently is just wrong! I’m not local to London (where they are based) and so the girls helped me via phone and email consultation. We exchanged conversations, pictures and drawings until I was happy with everything. They are massively supportive and understanding to anyone’s situation and budget. Again, I cannot recommend them enough. I now have a beautiful hugely sentimental ring that will remind me every day of a loved one. The quality is superb...they even remade it to get it just perfect for me - I literally cannot think of a single bad thing. I love my ring and since I have received it, it has not left my hand. No doubt I will be shopping with Laura in the future. Thank you ladies! Xread more

Laura Lee Jewellery is my favourite jewellery store, all the jewellery is beautifully designed and its always so difficult to choose. I went to there for the first time last year and have been going back every time i'm in London, sometimes not even to buy jewellery but to chat to the lovely girls in the shop, they are always so helpful, have a genuine interest in what your looking for and are overall just fabulous.. a special thanks to the manager Sharlene and Nicky for helping me pick the perfect necklace layer, I haven't taken it off since 🙂read more

Unfortunately some time ago bought a necklace for my daughter and the fine gold chain broke ( no fault of ours). Unfortunately the hole that the disc passed through was tiny i could not buy another chain to pass through the hole .I returned to the shop and was told it could not be mended or sent away for repair and was rudely dismissed and brushed off. In hindsight should have taken this to the standards trading office. I have never been back or will I ever ourchade anything from Laura Lee again.read more

I went here for a bunting necklace workshop recently and can't recommend this place enough. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the shop is a fantastic space ... I came out wanting to buy everything! Most of the jewellery for sale is made in perspex in an array of colours and some pieces are only for the brave (such as the huge necklace made to look like a dinosaur skeleton). But there are some more subtle pieces as well - look out for the name or initial necklaces and the day of the dead-inspired skulls.read more

I also left with a lovely bunting necklace they helped me make and a beautiful gin bottle necklace that I bought for a friend. The girls who work here are very nice and the jewellery is great. I love that everything is so original and fun - definitely not what you'd find at most shops! I plan to be back to buy their dinosaur necklace - I'm absolutely lusting over it.read more
